Spectre 2 SC

• Spectre 2 SC, manufactured by Control Solutions, is a non-repellent insecticide that contains 21.45% of its active ingredient, chlorfenapyr. This active ingredient serves as a fantastic killer of ants, cockroaches and bed bugs and provides long-lasting residual control.Chlorfenapyr works by disrupting the production of ATP in the part of the cell that turns food into energy. This is otherwise known as cellular death. However, chlorfenapyr does not become an active insecticide until after it enters its host.What this means since it is the main active ingredient in Spectre 2 SC is that it is totally undetectable to insects it targets. Pests are not able to smell it, taste it, or more importantly avoid it, believing the chemical to be completely harmless. Spectre is comparable to Phantom Termiticide/Insecticide with chlorfenapyr being its central active ingredient but with Spectre you are getting a better overall value and an upgraded formula that delivers significantly satisfying results.

  Tools Needed

  To use Spectre 2 SC you will need to mix the product into a tank sprayer (hand-pump, backpack). For larger jobs, use a professional pesticide spraying rig.

  How to Use

  Step 1: Before mixing, measure the square footage (length x width) of the area to be treated. For most general pest control applications, the recommended rate is 1.5 to 3 oz of Spectre 2 SC to 1 gallon of water depending on the infestation, level of concentration you desire and type of pest. 1 gallon of finished product will typically cover 1,000 sq ft.

• Step 2: Fill a sprayer tank halfway with the required amount of water and then add the appropriate amount of Spectre 2 SC to the sprayer and fill with the remainder of the water. Close the sprayer and shake it up so the product is well-mixed.
• Step 3: Apply the Spectre 2 SC solution generously to target areas to control your pest issue. Change spray settings depending on where you are spraying (pin stream for cracks and crevices, fan stream for outdoor areas.

Where to Use

Spectre can be used both indoors and outdoors. When treating indoors for termites, ants, cockroaches, spiders and other common household pests, apply the diluted Spectre 2 SC solution with a coarse low-pressure spray directly into cracks and crevices where pests typically hide.

For outdoor treatments, focus your application on cracks and crevices surrounding doors, windows, eaves, attic vents, utility entrances and anywhere else insects might gain access into your home.

Safety Information

Spectre 2 SC is safe to use when applied according to label directions. Make sure to keep children and pets away from a treated area until the product has completely dried.

Special Considerations

Remember that Spectre is intended for spot treatments and should not be used as a broadcast spray indoors or a full perimeter application outdoors. Apply Spectre no more than once every four weeks indoors and every 6 months outdoors.
